It has been a good start to the 2013 season for Dylan Breen, and this recent string of bad luck over the past two weeks will not keep the team down as they look ahead to the upcoming weekend. The car has been fast with each outing, and despite the bad luck, optimism remains high during this breakout season.
The bad luck started at Brockville during the second week of the year. It was a 40 lap race and first round of the Seaway Sportsman Series. Breen led the race early, and was well in contention late in the race an unexpected issue with the right front wheel sent him off the track. Although frustrated with the final outcome, the team was thrilled with their overall performance with many of the region’s top Sportsman drivers in attendance.
This past Saturday night at Brockville, Breen started his qualifying heat race from the eighth position and moved up two spots to sixth in the 8 lap preliminary qualifying event. In the 25 lap feature, he started from the 14th position, and was biding his time through the opening laps. On lap seven, Breen was caught up in crash in turn one. Dylan was able to recover after restarting the race from the rear of the field, and finished the race in 15th place. After three weeks of racing at Brockville, he currently sits fifth in track points for the Sportsman division.
This coming Saturday night, Dylan will return to the Brockville Speedway for the first of three 40 lap races in the Ogilvie’s Auto Triple Crown Series.
Dylan Breen would like to thank all of the sponsors for their support for the 2013 racing season. Dylan Breen Continues to Roll Early in 2013 with a Third Place Finish at Brockville Speedway Season Opener
After starting the 2013 season with back to back top ten finishes at Can Am Motorsports Park, Dylan Breen and his team were looking forward to getting started this past weekend at their home track, Brockville Ontario Speedway.
Dylan started his qualifying heat race from the outside of the front row and after a great battle he came out on top, taking the heat race victory. The win earned him a front row starting spot for the 25 lap feature. Breen maintained the second place spot for the opening five laps of the race but fell back slightly to fifth. Late in the race, Breen started to climb back into contention, moving to fourth place as they completed lap17 and back up to third place just five laps later, and crossed the line in third place.
“It was a great run for us tonight”, says Breen. “This new Bicknell has worked great for us so far”. We are working hard to be a consistent contender every night at the BOS, and tonight was the first step towards achieving that goal.
Breen will be back at Brockville Speedway this coming Saturday night, looking to continue his strong start to the 2013 season and capture his first ever Sportsman feature win.

Dylan Breen Continues Strong Start to Season With Another Top Ten Finish at Can Am; Brockville Speedway Opener Set For Saturday Night
With a top ten finish to start the 2013 season last weekend, Dylan Breen was looking forward to getting back to Can Am Motorsports Park once again to build on their strong first week performance. Dylan and the team also had a test session at Brockville Speedway scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
Although he struggled in the qualifying heat race and had to start deep in the 26 car field on Friday night at Can Am, Breen was able to dial in his car before the start of the 25 lap main event. At the drop of the green flag he started to move through the field, and by lap 10 he was up to the ninth position. A late race caution slowed the pace with just three laps remaining, and Dylan had worked his way to eighth place, and gained one more spot once the race resumed, and crossed the finish line with a solid seventh place result.
“We are off to a good start this season”, says Dylan after the race. “This new Bicknell car is really working well for us. Hopefully we can continue this once Brockville opens up this coming weekend”.
On Saturday afternoon, Dylan turned some fast laps at Brockville Speedway, looking to get some seat time at his weekly 2013 track. After a successful day of practice, Breen headed home, confident and excited about the season opener this coming Saturday night.
